What are the highlights of the PenVote system?

1.  Our voting technology does NOT require electricity at the polls. Our digital pens will last an entire day without having to be recharged.  If they do require a charge (and a light will warn you), they can be charged with small hand crank generators, small solar panels or small (4”) wind systems.  See our Alternative Power page for details.

2.  We can work with most existing ballot formats.  Unlike electronic voting systems and optical scan systems, we do not have to re-work your existing ballots.  If you use odd-sized paper ballots with photos—we can work with that.  In some cases there may be minor adjustments that have to be made, but make no mistake; we offer the MOST flexible system in the world for dealing with complex ballots.

3.  Cost.  Did we mention that our system is affordable?  The cost for our system will run 25-35% below any other electronic or optical scan system sold on the world market.  Why not save money and get the richest possible voting experience with the PenVote paper balloting system?

4.  We have 3 independent ways to count the results.  First there is the automatic tabulation that happens when the pens are docked.  Second, since we use paper ballots you can hand count the results.  Third, since you have high resolution images of every ballot, you can publish these and let others tabulate using existing OCR software (Such as AABBY).
